I decided to buy this at FanimeCon after utterly falling in love with the first five episodes of the anime. While I enjoyed the manga, I didnt find it quite as beautiful or dramatic as its counterpart in motion. Some of the omake fell flat, seeming to rely on stereotypes between two male characters rather than pointing out a funny side of these particular characters as individuals. Yuichirou and Youichi I found hard to distinguish from each other. The story flow and pacing felt smoother in theSeraph of the End takes place in a world where there was an epidemic that wiped out 90% of the human population and also vampires are trying take over the world (so they want to get rid of humans). When the main character, Yuichiro, was a kid, he survived the epidemic along with several other orphans. He lived in an orphanage with the other orphans in the vampire city. (Vampire nobles would use them for their blood) One night, they tried to escape the city, but got caught by a vampire who killed
I've been wanting to read this for awhile, so when I saw that I could get it called up at a library, I did so. I also got Seraph of the End, Vol. 2 and Seraph of the End, Vol. 3 called up as well. I am now reading V2 and still enjoying the series.-------------------- This story is kind of slow at the beginning, having a virus kill all humans age 13+, and having vampires enslave all children under age 13 as a blood supply for them to constantly feed on. Luckily, Mika and Yu are slightly
Viruses and vampires and vengeance, oh my!
Oh, I really like the story and the artwork and the characters (I really like Yu And Yoichi.).I like the setting and how everything came to be. That we got slowly introduced into this world and its characters. The ending? OMG.
Enjoyed the anime more than the manga. I think it was the soundtrack
It...gets better right? The high school setting is atrocious *like, really it is one of the main reasons I do not read shojo, so why in a shonen too ffs...*, but I'm willing to read vol.2 before I decide whether there is some actual plot or not.The artwork is a bit too standard-shojo for my taste. (And this shouldn't be one >.>) And I don't mean Akatsuki no Yona awesome shojo, I mean reall generic cute-sy, big eyed shojo. Meh :/It all has the clichè of your standard shonen, but it's all a
