Criticize Out Of Books سه تفنگدار: ١٠ جلدی (Les Trois Mousquetaires #1)

I went to a movie this weekend and saw the trailer for the upcoming Three Muskateers movie. This book has been on or near the top of my "to read" list for a over a year but keeps getting bumped out of its spot by quick and easy book reads or current must reads (like "the girl with the dragon tattoo" series). I'm pumped to finally have picked it up. I've read all of 10 pages and with all of its random references, now it has me wanting to read Don Quixote!

A book full of adventures, well written, very pleasant and easy to read. You can read it on holidays, it seems like you are wathcing an adventure series.

Loved the idea of reading the original story, but didn't realize the main character (hero d'Artangnan) is a pervert. (And somewhat manipulative? Probs not the best role model.)PG13 for way to much romance which struck me wrong.

I really did read this in French. It took me forever, with a French dictionary by my side for help. I'm sure I missed quite a bit of subtlety and nuance since French is definitely not my first (and barely second) language, otherwise I'd give it more stars.

Probably one of my favorite books of all time, I have re-read this book so many times and still cant get enough of it. Alexander Dumas has to be one of the best authors ever.

Yes, this book was quite excellent! The french was not very easy to read through, but this did not diminish my level of enjoyment. Not sure if I'll ever read the rest of the books though.
