The Westminster Confession of Faith is the greatest of all the creeds of the Christian Church. This is definitely the edition to get. It comes with the Confession and both Catechisms, plus other documents from the assembly. It also includes the proof texts that were added in. Must reading.

Just stunningly wonderful to read and study. I have enjoyed reading WCF especially with all the scripture proofs. Wow. Amazing to read the 'roadmap' where all the doctrine of the Presbyterian reformers is laid out in a framework for understanding Scripture.

i actually enjoyed reading this book. it really helped me cement my faith in Jesus Christ. i now know why i believe what i believe. i loved the proof texts in this book -- if i was ever unsure about something i was able to read commentary or use Scripture to help me understand.

Is it infallible? Of course not. Is it inerrant? Not by a long shot. It is, however, one of the most complete statements of Reformed theology ever compiled. And it is the confession of the people who settled my section of the country, the Southeastern United States. The Westminster Confession is the primary doctrinal standard for conservative Scottish/English Presbyterians, as well as conservative Presbyterians in the United States today. Two stars for the effort! This will have taken a lot of work, time, study, discussion, etc.But there is a lot of bad theology in it, to mention one: the theory of predesrionation is awful.
